This new American Heart Association CPR course is taught with the new 2015 guidelines.

The Heartsaver CPR & AED course teaches CPR and relief of choking, in adults, children and infants. It also covers the use of an AED ( Automated External Defibrillator.

This is a wonderful course for people that just want to learn the basic life saving skills for CPR.

BLS Initial Course

ACLS Renewal

$75 / per student

The PALS course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.

PALS Renewal

ACLS/BLS Combo

This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. ACLS/PALS MEGA CODE

$50 / per student

The mega code is to make you feel comfortable in your knowledge and leadership skills in code situations. This is the final step after you have completed the online course. Although the mega code may be intimidating, you will find that sailing through the mega code unscathed will boost your confidence level exponentially so that the next time you are involved in a code, you will know exactly what to do without hesitation.

PEARS

$125 / per student

The Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification course was designed for healthcare providers that infrequently see critically ill children. PEARS prepares a student to assess, categorize, decide and act early to stabilize the child. The main focus of PEARS training is prevention, and specifically the emergency assessment, recognition and stabilization of pediatric victims at risk of severe cardiopulmonary distress. Through unique learning tools, such as video-based simulation, providers can see and hear critically ill children with whom they do not typically come in contact, equipping them to recognize the symptoms of pediatric victims, and thus begin stabilization prior to arrest. This emergency pediatric certification course is video based with instructor-led discussion and simulation. Students participate in, practice and complete various skills and learning stations and are required to pass skills tests, as well as a written test. Key topics covered are: Pediatric assessment Respiratory compromise and arrest recognition and management Circulatory compromise and arrest recognition and management Shock recognition and management Resuscitation team concept This course does provide AHA PEARS certification.

Basic to AEMT Hybrid Course

$2500 / per student

Our “Basic EMT to AEMT” course includes the Emergency Medical Technician and Advanced EMT into a complete course of study. The EMT/AEMT course will cover anatomy and physiology, primary patient survey and triage, airway management, oxygen therapy and treatment of bleeding, shock, cardiac arrest, fractures, spinal injuries and other medical emergencies.

The “Basic EMT to AEMT” course is designed for anyone interested in working as a firefighter EMT or AEMT, as well as those who desire to work in the 911 EMS System or in the Emergency Room setting . Upon successful completion of the program, students will eligible to challenge the National Registry Exam which is necessary for Georgia. AEMT certification.

As you take the AEMT course, you will be required to complete all clinical and academic requirements in order to graduate. The Georgia State Office of EMS will review ALL Student Files to ensure they are in accordance with their requirements in order to challenge the NREMT Exam.

When ready to test, You will take the Nationally Registry EMT examination at a Pearson Vue Testing Center. Once you have receive your EMT certification from NREMT, you will be qualified to take the Advanced EMT cognitive and psychomotor skills examination. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive your AEMT certification from the NREMT.

The combined AEMT course will last a total of 6 months. In addition, the class will meet 4 times per month for skills, check-offs, power-point, testing and evaluation. The program utilizes the Jones and Bartlet Learning Management System to help facilitate the course.

The national component of the NCCP (the ‘new’ refresher) will constitute 50% of the new re-certification requirements at each level and will replace the traditional DOT refresher. Topics will be updated every four years and will reflect current trends in evidence-based medicine, scope of practice changes and position papers from numerous associations involved with EMS research. It will also serve to focus on those patient presentations that have a low frequency but high critically .

We will offer the same info twice a week for 4 weeks. The days will be each week on shift 2 either on Monday or Tuesday or shift 3 on either Friday or Saturday depending on how the shifts fall. You only have to come once a week, were just offering it twice to accommodate ones that work shifts so they can either attend one or the other. The course will entail lectures, psycho-motor and homework to be able to obtain enough hours to meet the new NCCP Standards with the national component and or the State of Ga. 40’ requirements.

EMTI 85/AEMT Refresher
